Sarah's Mission to Bacolod Philippines

MAAYONG AGA hi friends!! happy last week of May!! this day last year i was being set apart as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. thats INSANE. its crazy to think of this day last year, I still had no idea what to expect and had absolutely no clue what was going on over here on the other side of the world. and now this country and the people in it have become something i love so much!  This has been a good week for lots of reasons!!  -I FOUND MY JOURNAL! I realized a couple weeks ago that I hadnt seen my journal in a long time that I had used for 8 months of my mission! I was so sad and thought it was gone. But I was praying one day to know where it is and I had the thought to go into our bedroom and check under my bed. I had checked under there at least 6 or 7 times already, but I went in and it was just laying there in plain sight. i was sooo grateful. Mom- wow hi mother!! happy mothers day!! i hope its been just the best day ever!! i hope dad made you some fancy breakfast in bed in spain!! cant believe my family is touring europe without me. but i love you all over there and think of you all the time. im thankful for you and everything you always did for me. all the hours when i was little driving me all over town so that i could do every play i ever wanted to do and always being the best supporter of anything i ever wanted to do. sorry i wasnt always the best daughter ever. but know that even if i didnt show it all the time, i always appreciated everything you did for me. and still do!! people always ask about my parents over here and i always tell them how awesome you people are. they all think im from the perfect family. they also love that youre an author. i gotta catch up on all your books when i get home!! me and s. singleton were talking earlier how we miss reading. i havent even read scarlet yet! good thing ive got a full m...

Maayong agaaa!!! kamusta kamo? what a crazy week. the coolest part was that on Friday, Elder Renlund of the Quorum of the 12 came to our mission!! We got to shake his hand and talk with him and it was so so cool. I learned a TON and am so thankful for that opportunity.  lots of crazy things happned this week- -when Elder Renlund was here, we sat in an air conditioned room for about 8 hours. And i just about died. I could barely even take notes cause my hands went completely numb and I started legit shivering during the closing song. it was SO cold. moral of the story is im supposed to go home in december in the middle of winter, and i can't even handle being in air con for half a day. send some prayers that i wont die when i get home -found a mouse in our house this week. but we bought a mouse trap and caught it!! so our house is now mouse free and we are happy sisters once again -met the cutest old man ever who is bed ridden and is supposed to pass away pretty soon. what a week!!!  sorry this letters gonna be kinda lame. we're in a hot dusty little computer shop and it smells bad so we may not be in here very long but THE BIG NEWS- im in a trio AGAIN!!! me and sister nanlabi got a new cute companion come join us this morning- Sister Singleton!!! We've been in the same district for 3 transfers and we're pals so im way pumped. its gonna be such a good transfer but this week has been insane. we were in bacolod tuesday and wednesday for Missionary leadership council. then thursday i was in binalbagan for exchanges and then friday we did exchanges with the other la carlota sisters! and then saturday KC was baptized!!! She's so awesome im so excited for her.  but life is good over here. went to the sunflower farm finally!!! never gotten so many stares in my life than us 3 americans taking pics with like every flower in the place hahahaha it was so funny but love you and miss you all!! have a good week!!! sister john...
