yayaay maayong aga sa inyo!! what a week! we're just trucking along over here. life is good!!! the highlights- -me and sister bergman both got our wallets stolen and spent a whole day filing police reports at the police station!! so many firsts in this country. gotta love it -got a PACKAGE WOOOO! see the picture below for probably the biggest bag of cereal you've ever seen. thanks mom u rock -saw fireworks this week!! our little house has a cute balcony so we all stood outside and watched the fireworks and it was so cute. felt like home :,) -met some people this week visiting santa fe from old sagay, my last area!! it was so fun we bonded over my fav restaurant there. so good this week has been good!! we have been focusing a lot on finding lots of new people to teach and we always have lots of cool experiences with it!! one family we started teaching the other day were so happy to have us there. the mom just went on and on about how she had been praying to kno...

hello!! kamusta kamo?? what a week!!! we're just trucking along over here. crazy to think next week i hit my 5 month mark!! so so insane. time seriously just flies.  the highlights of the week- -we got MEXICAN FOOD!!!! so our puerto rican friend Dave is married to a filipina. and i guess he went to a mexican restaurant here in the philippines and was not impressed with it so he started his own restaurant called Los Tres Amigos. and its SO GOOD. literally wow heaven. perks of the city -we crashed a birthday party this week!!! so it was pouring rain. like just pouring. and we were soaking wet. but we were running past this restaurant and these people outside stopped us and were like "ka-on ta!!!" which means like eat with us!! so we stopped and started talking to them and got some good food and some cake and life was good!! turns out it was some ladys birthday but she wasnt even there hahah. thats like the culture here. the filipinos will do any thing to throw ...

maayong ugdo!!! maayong semana diri sa santa fe!!! wow it feels like so much has happened since being here in Santa Fe!!! Lemme tell ya. being in the city is a whole new experience!! i absolutely love it here.  first off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BROTHER BEN WOWOWWOW 17 YEARS OLD ON SUNDAY!!!! go celebrate him he deserves it. we have a dinner appointment on sunday with this man because its his birthday too on the 21st so hes gonna have cake and stuff there and in my head ill be throwing my own mini party over here in the philippines for Ben. wahoooo!!! the highlights- -THEY HAVE A MEXICAN FOOD RESTAURANT HERE AND IVE NEVER BEEN  MORE EXCITED. i guess the owner is from puerto rico and started his own mexican restaurant. so we're going there this week and im PUMPED. -also they have milk here FROM A COW. there was none of that in sagay. so im thriving off the one brand of cereal that they make in this country. life is good -we found an american!!! he invited us in h...

maayong hapon sa inyo tanan! well what a week. i guess the biggest news is that i got transferred from Old Sagay!! The AP's called us last night and I packed all night and we were in Bacolod by 9 am this morning. My new area is Santa Fe!! So right in the middle of Bacolod city! I am so excited to be in the city and experience this change of scenery.  But yes. my new companion is Sister Bergman!! She has only been here 6 weeks. Which means, I'm in charge of doing her follow up training. even though I finished my own follow up training yesterday hahah. so send some prayers that the people of santa fe will be able to understand us cause i still dont know this language hahaha. but I totally know God will help us. He only asks us to do things that He knows that we can do!! And I am grateful for the opportunity to go to a new area and meet new people and have lots of new experiences!!!  but wow leaving Old Sagay was the worst!! I am so grateful for all of the people there ...

Hello everyone!!!! wow its already the last week of this transfer!! time really does fly over here. and yesterday i hit my 4 month mark!! so so crazy.  the highlights of this week- -we found PIZZA!!! yes, even in the philippines islands you can find a pizza place. we may have had to go to a different city and pay a whole ton of money for it, but it just made it all the better. life is good  -this past week was family week!! its a holiday over here where for a week you celebrate families! and then on Saturday we had a whole big celebration at the church. it was so fun!! there was tons of games and a parade and we had matching tshirts and it was way fun. and since our families are way far away, a bunch of the filipino's here told us that we were there family and it was way sweet. this week during our studies, a cute little boy came and knocked on our door and asked for money for his basketball team because they couldnt afford things like tennis shoes and jerseys an...
