Sarah's Mission to Bacolod Philippines

Maayong aga! Kamusta kamo? Wow done with week one of this transfer!! dasig ba! It has been such an awesome week in La Carlota!  its gonna be a busy transfer! we have meetings this week in Bacolod and then we start exchanges this week too! Which means we trade companions for a day and get to work with all the sisters in La Carlota zone and Binalbagan zone. im pumped!!  but first shoutout to my brother andrew!! HIS BIRTHDAYS THIS WEEK WOO EVERYONE GO CELEBRATE HIM HES THE BEST  the highlights of this week-  -the house in La Carlota is SO nice. we have a COUCH. I legit can wake up in the morning and sit on a couch. its incredible. im never transferring -ate lunch at the house of someone we're teaching and there was a huge lizard fight on the table right next to me. like 6 lizards got involved. it was wild  -Sister Willis and ELder Willis worked with us on Friday. (The senior missionaries) and it was SO funny. they have a car so we drove with them...

wow what a week!! Its transfer day!! and GUESS WHAT!!! Im currently in my new area with my new companion- SISTER NANLABI!!! we were companions back in ,my first area and i absolutely LOVE her. and now we're comps again. so so crazy. I am so excited for this coming transfer!! My new area is La Carlota! It is south of Bacolod which is fun! It seems like it is going to be a super cute town and I am way pumped for this transfer. Me and Sister Nanlabi are gonna be the sister training leaders for La Carlota zone and Binalbagan zone. I am so excited!! i am way sad to leave santa fe though. the members through a mini party for me on Sunday and then sunday night I went to go visit my cute recent convert family. The Escoba Family!! They are the cutest EVER! They made us a fancy dinner and then they gave me A FULL ON SCRAPBOOK WITH PICS OF US AND MEMORIES and i just about died. then we all pretty much sobbed saying good bye. it just made me realize how special this work is!! maayong aga!! kamusta gid kamo?  i cant believe we're done with another week. so so wild. this one may have been the fastest in my whole mission. a week from today is transfer day!! this time next week i'll most likely be in a new area with a new companion! ill miss the trio life. its a good time. but i really am gonna miss sta fe. its defintely been an adventure but there are some people here who i just really love. its been 6 months here! so crazy. but this week was a good one! the highlights- -went to go see my favorite woman in the world this week- Josephina Casabuena. she is 96 years old and SO FUNNY. as soon as she saw me, she just said "GINDAMGO TA KA" which means i had a dream about you hahaha and then instead of elaberating she just started singing. basically imagine a 96 year old woman belting out songs with all her heart. we thought she might literally fall over and die cause she was getting so into these songs. after about 20 minutes of singing,...

MAAYONG AGA friends what a week! dang time flies. crazy that its monday again the highlights of this week -sat in an airconditioned room all day on wednesday and literally froze. i got to go to the mission leadership council which lasted all day wednesday! It was actually super fun. but the problem is im supposed to go home in DECEMBER. during the WINTER. and i can't even be inside air conditioning without freezing. oh no im gonna die -in other news we threw a ward party/meeting on saturday about missionary work!! we made cute invitations and programs and decorated the church all missionary themed!! it was so awesome. President Sumagpao came (our mission pres) and he spoke, and then we all spoke, and had tons of food and it was way fun. and then president sumagpao gave us a ride home. the whole way i tried to get the scoop about transfer day and where I'm going. all i got was "far away" hahaha so we'll see but yay what a week!! we went back to vis...

MAAYONG UGTO!!  Wow what a week!! GUESS WHAT SOS. SATURDAY WAS MY 9 MONTH MARK!! IM HALFWAY DONE WITH MY MISSION WHAT THIS IS WILD. i still feel like i legit just got here wowowow. time is a crazy thing the highlights from the week-  -met a crazy woman old filipina woman who claimed to be 30 and dating a 25 year old from ohio who she met in a bar there. interesting -became friends with all the little kids in this one area ages 6-12 and they challenged me to a basketball game. told them im a missionary so i couldnt ball it up with them but that i'd probably win if i did. now everyone wants me on their team. i told them if they go to church maybe we'd stop by on a monday and settle it. we'll see. -summer has officially started in the philippines!!! you know when you get in your car after its been sitting out in the sun for hours and it feels like you're gonna suffocate cause its so hot? yeah thats what it feels like all day in the philippines during summer ti...
