Sarah's Mission to Bacolod Philippines

hello everyone!!!  well this week has been pretty eventful.  the highlights- -we got a text monday night that we had a mission wide meeting in Bacolod on Wednesday where Sister Cordon, the General Young Womens president was gonna speak to us, and Elder Wakolo of the area presidency. it was SO so awesome to hear from them. and I GOT TO SEE ALL MY FRIENDSSS it was so so fun.  -a little boy wandered into our house one day this week and just started walking around. we didnt notice until we turned around and there was a child just chillin by our beds. he wouldnt answer when we asked him what his name was or where he came from or where his parents were. he just wandered around and then sat down at my desk. it wasnt until we gave him ice cream that he told us his grandma is our nextdoor neighbor and we were able to bring him back to his house. but it was SO funny. for the longest time we had no idea who this child was in our house. but he went happily on his way with...

hello everyone!!! what a week!!! highlights: -on wednesday, we had MISSION WIDE CLEANING DAY!!! so all the missionaries in Bacolod mission spent the entire day cleaning their apartments. so from 7:30 am to 5 pm, all we did was clean. and lemme tell ya. i killed species of bugs that i didnt even know existed and discovered that all the lizards lay their eggs behind my bookshelf!! that was a fun discovery.  -we found AMERICAN FOOD. oh my goodness. (see the pic below.) i got some pasta and french fries and it was the happiest meal. sister nanlabi said we needed to take a picture of our food for all our friends to guess whos meal was the americans and whos was the filipino's hahaha. no rice for this american!!! -Carlos was baptized on Sunday morning!! with his two nephews too. oh it was so happy. he had been trying to stop smoking for so long for this day and seeing him so happy just made me want to cry. so so happy for him. we had some cool experiences this week!! so on ...

hi everyone!!! another week!! so crazy. time is such a weird thing on the mission. it goes by so so fast but also so so slow at the same time hahah. but this week has been SO good!!! some highlights-  -I DREAMED IN ILLONGO. so that was exciting  -we were teaching a family the other day on the beach and the water was especially blue that day and it just made me realize what a cool opportunity this is. life isnt bad when you spend half your day every day talking about Christ on the beach  -there was a HUGE storm last night. oh it was so fun. we dont have windows on our house, just screens since theres no air conditioning so the whole house just smelled like rain and it was so fun wow i love storms  life is good over here!! ive started thinking of all the ways ive been blessed since being here and it has helped me SO much. i have just become so so much happier here and have really started to love my time here. the philippines is SUCH a special place.
