maayo nga semana diri sa Old Sagay!!! 

lots of fun things going on!!
first off- MY SIS IS HOME FROM HER MISSION so good times over there in southlake. 

highlights of this week- 

-Tuesday we went on exchanges!! so we switched companions for the day! I was with Sister Ferreria who has been out 6 months!! i LOVE her. shes so awesome. except there was a HUGE storm on tuesday. so we were walking across this big river to get to someones house and the wind was so strong and the water was crazy. and our umbrellas couldnt handle the wind hahaha. we were SOAKING wet. i felt like i was in a movie hahaha. except if i was in a movie id probably have a hot shower waiting for me after and maybe a towel too. instead i had a big red bucket to come home to. so all is well over here :)

-i saw a monkey this week!! it was SO CUTE 

-remember how i said we have 3 weddings coming up for our investigators? well when i was going through all my clothes in the MTC deciding what was too nice/hot for the philippines, i wasnt ready to part with my favorite bright white dress yet. and i was just thinking to myself the other day, what on earth was i thinking bringing a white dress to the philippines!! i cant wear this ever" but GOOD THING I DID cause its now being used as a wedding dress!!! ah im so excited. im doing their hair and makeup and nails. and they're so excited!! these cute people have never owned makeup or anything like that before and they're so so excited. i feel like a wedding planner over here. now that i think of it, maybe thats my future calling in life. ill keep you updated on that one.

but its been a good week!! i am constantly amazed by everyone and everything here!! but im so grateful for the opportunity to serve here. 

we have 2 weeks left of this transfer!! its crazy how fast the time has gone. but ive met some of the most amazing people here in Old Sagay. i love the mission life more and more each day!! im so lucky to be able to be in a place like the Philippines.

Sister Johnson

so im in bacolod again!! for marriage papers!! so we're in the air conditioned fast internet place again and life is good. we'll be here again next pday too. i like bacolod. and last monday i got to see all my friends so hopefully they'll all be here again today!! its a good day.

but WOW i cant beleive mandi is home what on earth!! and grandma johnson flew in?? thats so fun ah. it was kinda sad over here wednesday morning but sister davis one of the seniro missionaries called me to check in on me and see how life was going so i told her mandi got home and we talked and shes the best. but charmane came to our door to show me the pics that you sent her so that was fun!!

its been a good week!! so on tuesday i went on exchanges with sister fererria in Talisay! which is righ tnext to bacolod. cayse sis melgaso had MLC. and i LOVE sister fererria. shes filipino but is os sos o nice and really is trying to elarn english. shes only been out 6 months but she works so so hard. it was so nice. cuase sis melgaso goes home in 3 months and shes tired. so we dont work all the time whcih si kinda frustrating. 

and we didnt have a baptism this week!! it was so sad!! so NEva and nesa were suppoised to be baptised so we went ot go pick them up on saturday and they werent at their house so we asked aorund and they had gone out in the ocean to get crabs and stuff for food. and since it was lowtide you can walk way out there and find lots of food. so we walked for like an hour in the ocean practivally to go get them for their baptism and we found out that her husband said theuy couldnt get baptised! so it was so sad. so we're gonna go talk with him tomorrow i think. but hten they didnt go to cvhruch the bnext day so now we have to wait 4 weeksf or them to get baptized. and rolly and carlos are pary of their fam and they're supposed ot this saturday but they didnt go to church either so now they cant. so thast way sad. so my goal of a baptism every week of my mission went out the window real quick hahaha

and bad news. so 29 new missionaries are coming in on the 27th. wguicg is a ton. thats the equivalent of 2 zones here. seriously so many. so there were originally 21 from the mtc but peoplea re getting visas finally!! so my batch hasnt gotten tehrees so they'll still be there for another transfer probably. but the batch before. so anyways they need 10 sister trainers. and our zone leaderst texted us yesterday and said that i will probably train so start prepareing. which is a big no. cays ei havent even finished my own training and cant speak illongo and this is just bad news all over. so im just really really really hopign that doesnt ahppne

yeah. we ate dinner at a members house last night and i was talking with charmane and she said she'll come to every lesson with me if i want her to if i train. all the youth were like "kon kinahanglan mo damo nga bulig, pwede cami" which means we'll all help yhou if you need it. they're all so nice. so thats good at least. but honestly i just cant wrap my mind aroundt he fact htat they'd have an american hwos been here for 6 months train. so im still thinking sis melgaso might. so who knows

i actually do think about that quote from pres hinkleys dad all the time! and theres some really good quotes from elder holland about how hes the writer and we're just the pencil and all we have to do is say okay im yours use me. so thats good. i do feel like through all this my testimonys so much stronger and all that and i definitely feel god helping me. so its all good. whenever im overhwlemed or stressed or htink theres no way i can do this for 16 more months i think its not about me forget yourself and go to work and all that. 

hahahahah sister amataga is so funny. i havent seen her yet!!! im so sad. but in her first group email she said "its so miserably hot and ive had diarrhea all week and want to die" and in this last one she said "ive been trying so hard this whole time not to fall in a rice field bvut i finally did. then as soon as i got up a truck drove by and spraye dme with muddy water. its not my week" oh i died laughing. she sso funny. you have got ot meet this girl. shes one of  a kind
