MAAYONG AGA friends

what a week! dang time flies. crazy that its monday again

the highlights of this week
-sat in an airconditioned room all day on wednesday and literally froze. i got to go to the mission leadership council which lasted all day wednesday! It was actually super fun. but the problem is im supposed to go home in DECEMBER. during the WINTER. and i can't even be inside air conditioning without freezing. oh no im gonna die
-in other news we threw a ward party/meeting on saturday about missionary work!! we made cute invitations and programs and decorated the church all missionary themed!! it was so awesome. President Sumagpao came (our mission pres) and he spoke, and then we all spoke, and had tons of food and it was way fun. and then president sumagpao gave us a ride home. the whole way i tried to get the scoop about transfer day and where I'm going. all i got was "far away" hahaha so we'll see

but yay what a week!! we went back to visit this woman named Saminah that I talked about last week!! She just had absolutely nothing. It was so hard. They were out of food, and their power was turned off, had a million hospital bills to pay, and the last of her money was stolen. so so so sad. as missionaries we have rules that dont allow us to give away money for our own safety adn such so we said that God has a plan for her a million times, and promised her that if she goes to church on sunday and reads the bible and book of mormon, she'll sell a miracle in her life. So we left that lesson praying for their cute fam and hoping the blessings would come. Sure enough, she showed up at church on sunday and has been reading the scriptures with her family every night! And friends have randomly showed up at their door with money and a man dropped off a huge bag of rice for them, and she said the miracles she has seen in her life since then are amazing. So trust in God!! He has got a plan! Even if it is hard to see or we feel like theres no way out of our problems, God always has a solution if we just turn to him with faith and trust.

Life is way good over here!! I probably only have 2 weeks left in Santa Fe. I love this cute place. I had a realization moment the other day that im like on an island in the ocean right now. like what thats weird. but time moves so fast and i love this cute little island. No matter where I walk, Ill just hear little kids shouting "SISTER JOHNSON!!" and a few seconds later theres always a swarm of them hugging me and talking to me. they are just so cute. I love these little kids here. They seriously have so little but are the happiest little kids ever.

Life is good over here. I love being in the philippines!! love you all have a good week!!
