helloooo!!! kamusta na kamo?
What a crazy week its been!!
so much has happened. Starting with GENERAL CONFERENCE WOWOOW. We havent been able to watch it yet. We get to this saturday and sunday! But we've been counting down the days.
The highlights of this week-
-went hiking in rice fields through a thunderstorm. Lets just say anybody who passed by us is probabaly not gonna forget seeing 2 crazy looking girls literally drenched in mud and rain water from head to foot.
-saw a clan of ducks.
-got to go to bacolod and sleep in the housing apartment where I last lived and see all my friends!! it was so fun I loved it.
-had exchanges on thursday! I got to go work in Hinigaran with Sister Castillo! It was so fun. They have the beach in their area!! she made me eggplant and tuna mix for breakfast. It was quite the combination. But surpringly not that bad

but we had a cool experience when we were on exchanges! We went to go teach this blind woman! And it put EVERYTHING in perspective. I feel like I can never complain about anything ever again because of all these experiences here in this country. This cute woman has a bunch of little kids that she cares for 24/7 even though she is completely blind. We showed up to teach her in her cute little bamboo hut and she pulls out her book of mormon and just huggedit. It was so so cute. I had instant love for this woman. I just think that some people are given such hard trials and experiences, but there is always a reason. I know for sure that God doesn't give us things that we can't handle. There are some days on the mission where I've had to hold on to that truth! Especially when I first got here! It was definitely not easy and I definitely wondered a few times if I could do this. But I always told myself that I would be able to look back one day and think “why did I ever doubt?” And now I can sit and list sooo many lessons I learned from those hard experiences and all the ways I have grown and changed because of them. So no matter what life throws at you, know that its all for a divine purpose. And all the hard things are just for a season!

But I just love this country and all the people in it!! I wonder every day how I got so lucky to be called to the philippines.
Love you all have a good week!!
