maayong aga sa inyo
what a WEEK. its been wild. we took a surprise 2 day trip to bacolod, went to binalbagan another day, and spent 8 hours at the church on sunday!! its been so BUSY
-this week sister regacho lost her wisdom!! shes wisdom tooth free!! it was an adventure. they dont put you asleep here either. so i think it was pretty rough. but we ate ice cream and yogurt and oatmeal all week and had fun times
-had zone conf on friday!! went to binalbagan!! our district was asked to give a musical number. lets just say it started out really well, and then the elders joined in and it went downhill rapidly and ended with only like 3 of us singing cause everyone else was dying laughing. so ya know. dont know if we'll be invited to sing again hahahah
-saw our pal tatay Mede and there was something odd in his ear so i looked closer and turns out it was a piso. i asked him why he had a piso in his ear and he told us that thats where God puts the blessings. in his ear. found out shortly after through the concert he gave us on his guitar that he definitely was not all there hahahah
-had a Restoration Movie watching activity on Sunday! it was soo awesome. its basically a movie about the Church of Jesus Christ and how it came to be, and who Joseph Smith is and how he became a prophet and its really awesome. so we had all the people we're teaching and all the members all come and watch and there was a quick testimony meeting after and our mission president, President Sumagpao came and it was SO awesome. everyone should watch it if you wanna know what i'm doing over here in the philippines and more about the message and church that i testify is true every single day!!
Things are going so well over here. I LOVE La Carlota. We are teaching so many families and seeing so much success. I realized that as a missionary if you are doing everything you possibly can to be exactly obedient to all the rules, and work hard and really love the work, God will trust you! He will give you the success and the people to teach because He will know that you're a trustworthy missionary! We've been focusing on that a lot lately. Becoming missionaries that God can trust. Finding even just tiny things that we can do better. And we've seen SO many results. It's been so awesome. We were able to give 6 baptismal dates just on Saturday alone. It is the best feeling ever seeing people change their lives around and become more like Christ. Becoming more loving and kind, more humble, more family centered, and so much happier. It's the best. I love serving a mission!! I never want to leave. ive never been so happy.
Love you all!!
Sister Johnson
