Maayong aga!!
Wow today starts my last week in the field as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! I can't even believe how fast the time has gone. I still feel like I just got here. But I am just so thankful. I had the opportunity to bear my testimony at zone conference this week and share some of the things that I've learned on my mission. While reflecting, I was able to realize how much I have changed and how much closer I am to my Savior right now. I think serving a mission was the absolute best decision I could have ever made in my whole life.
and I will still be able to email next week! I will be up in the mission office and will have time as well to email. So you'll hear from me one more time :)
But this week was really great. me and sister l'heureux are just having so much fun and im so grateful she is my last companion!! We decided to go a little big and get some fine dining for lunch this week. except then we checked our wallets and realized maybe wasnt the best idea. but see below for a pic of sister L'Heureux ordering PLAIN TOAST at a fancy restaurant hahahah oh man just ur 2 fav girlies livin on a budget
but there were a lot of cool things this week too. I think one of my absolute favorite feelings EVER is when you ask someone if they were able to pray about what we have been sharing to them and if they were able to find out for themselves if it is true. I think the most rewarding feeling ever is when they answer that question and have found out that it is true through the power of prayer. we saw lots of that this week!
we are teaching this one man and his name is Rojelio! He is the cutest little man ever. He lives by himself in a cute little house and wrote "home for the aged" on his door and thinks it is SO funny. so last week we added a sticky note and wrote "home for the wise" cause hes just about the smartest man ive ever met in my whole LIFE. and then we showed up last time and he had written "For those who work for peace, God will called them are their people. Dedicated to Sis J and Sis L" see the pic below. and then asked us a million times if his english was right hahahah and we just said it was perfect. it was so sweet and im gonna miss my little scriptorian tatay friend.
another cool opportunity- we were in the hospital getting an xray for me to make sure i dont have some disease or something before i go home, and we ran into a member who said her husband was in the hospital and asked us to come visit him!! so she led us into a big room with tons of hospital beds of people recovering. so after talking with her husband for a second, me and sister l'heureux looked at each other and decided we should go talk to these people. so we went bed by bed and gave everyone pictures of Christ and got to talk with people who were in some of the hardest moments of their whole life. and they just thanked us so many times for bringing messages of hope. It was so special. I love bringing a message that can bless every single persons lives in so many ways.
We have set goals to give it our all this week. I am so excited to just do everything I can this last week to bring as many people as I can unto our Savior. I love being a missionary with all my heart.
happy thanksgiving!!
