June 22, 2018 Provo MTC
kamusta kamo???
may ara ako maayo gid nga semano!
so im halfway done here at the provo mtc!! ive officially been here 3.5 weeks which is crazy. its going by so so fast!
some highlights:
-got stuck in the elevator again but whats new
-taught my samoan companion the pledge of allegience (she was shocked to find out that george washington wasnt mentioned in it)
-got a flip phone cause i got called as a sister training leader and ive never been more excited until we found out every feature on it is blocked except calling the front desk sooo
this week lots of exciting things have happened!! so when i got here 3 weeks ago, we joined a zone of missionaries headed to the philippines who had already been here for 3 weeks. so they all left us this last tuesday and wednesday to head to the field!! it was sad to see them all go but so exciting for them!! a lot of philippines visa's arent going through lately so only about half of them were able to go straight to the philippines and the rest actually got reassigned stateside for 6 weeks while they wait for their visa to go through!! so we're all praying we get to go straight to the philippines but we wont know until about a week before we head out! (although if we get reassigned thats another 6 weeks of showers and washing machines so honestly would that be so bad? i think not) joklan actually im so excited to get to the Philippines. we've been teaching full lessons in Hiligaynon now and its coming so much easier! next week we get to skype and talk to people who are in the philippines right now and teach them which im SO excited for!!
but anyways as soon as the older missionaries left, we had about 3 hours with the 2 districts that were left in our zone, until we got FORTY SIX NEW MISSIONARIES IN OUR ZONE wednesday afternoon!!! that makes us the biggest zone in the mtc which is insane!! because about 2 months ago the hiligaynon/cebuano speaking zone was the smallest one.
i got called as a sister training leader which means i take care of all the new missionaries basically and wake up early to go to meetings. good times!! its been so fun getting to know them all and walk them to their classes and stuff. life is good over here!
i cant believe how quickly time is flying!!
this week Sharon Eubank came and talked to us from the Relief Society General Presidency and she talked about remembering who we are which was so awesome to hear. Then all of the 12 apostles and prophet, Russel M. Nelson are going to be here starting today periodically through the next 2 weeks!! they're training all the new mission presidents. so thats gonna be so so awesome.
Kabalo ako nga gintawag sang Dios ni Russel M. Nelson kag paagi sa mga propeta, magbaton kita pagbulig para sa adlaw adlaw. Nagapasalamat ako para sa oporunidad ang diri sa MTC. Nagapati ako may ara katuyuan naton. Palangga ako sa MTC kag paagi sa experiensia sa missionaryo, magmangin ako pareja kay JesuCristo.
Love you all!!
