kamusta na kamo?

this week has been super busy! but its been a good one!
the highlights-
-ended up sleeping in bacolod unexpectedly cause my cute companion was sick. wore the same outfit for 40 hours straight.
-sat in a little store for 2 and a half hours waiting for the results of a bunch of tests they did for sister nanlabi, and had a photoshoot. see pics below
-did exchanges in Hinigaran! I got to work with sister adams which was SO fun. except there was literally a COCKROACH INFESTATION in their house. im not even kidding i killed around 8 cockroaches that night and there was still plently flying and crawling around. me and sister adams had our brooms and flip flops and were throwing things at them it was quite a scene hahaha. but we made it out alive and when we woke up the next morning we couldn't see any!! so all is well
-made brownies in the microwave!! it was so exciting and definitely not as good as real brownies but it was a close second

i love being a missionary. ive seriously never been happier than i am now. its totally worth all the sacrifices and hard times. we have been teaching this one family! It has been super hard for them to get to church cause she is SUPER pregnant and they watch over their father who is completely bed ridden and has siezures and strokes and they cant leave him alone. They want to go to church so bad but we just hvent been able to see a way for it to happen cause its so hard! And we got to church on sunday, and there they were just sitting inside!! They said they just wanted to test their faith. We were SO happy for them!! i know that even when we think we can't do something. ALL things become possible when Christ is involved!!

Love and miss you all!!

Family
HELLO! whats up! happy june!!!
this has been a crazy week.
monday- after we emailed we ate lunch and grocery shopped and then i did a ton of laundry. and then sister nanlabi's stomach was hurting super bad so shejust slept. then while she was out i cleaned the whole house. ive kinda turned into a neat freak these days. it stresses me out when theres dishes int he sink or clothes on the couch or whatever. so it was good.
tuesday- district council!! when we woke up sister nanlabi's stomach was still super painful. but we went to district council and did our training for the last time! it went well. we had cute little handouts with this poem written on it. i was happy with how it went. and then we went to lunch! and sister nanlabi's stomach was really bugging her and we were worried itwas related to her coughing up blood. so we came home and she restedfor a bit and we ended up calling the nurse. she said we needed to go to the doctor that day. but first to get a blessing. so we called the elders and they came over, and then they gave her a blessing. then we headed up to bacolod! we stopped at 7/11 on the way and i saw these travel toothbrush things and i just felt like i should buy one. and then at that point i wondered if we were gonna have to end up spending the night in bacolod. so then we travelall the way there and turns out the doctor they wanted us to go to wasnt there that day. so sure enough the nurse told us to go to housing and sleep there for the night and go back to the doctor the next morning. so that was funny. it was fun though i got to see all my friends in housing. they're all the best. but then we slept in our dresses. but luckily i had a toothbrush!!
wednesday- woke up and sister christensen made us pancakes!! it was so nice. cause we had no food. and then we headed to the doctor. it was such a pain we had no idea where we were supposed to be going cause everyone was telling us differen tthings. turns out it was a different hospital that we had never been to before and the doctors a member!! so that was fun. then she explained her symptoms and he said they needed to do tests. so then we went to the lab and they ran a bumch of tests and then we went to macdo to wait for the results. at this point it was like 1 pm probably. and then we sat there for literally 2 hours waiting. i personal studied. sister singleton slept. sister nanlabi and i talked a bit. it was forever. then we got the results and went back to the doctor to know what they meant. and then they figured out that she has a UTI and that her body is also reacting to something differentlyand they figured out its probably the medicine she started taking for herheadaches. when she showed him the medicines she wastaking he was like "you should not be takingthat. why are you takign that" and was very alarmed. he said its for like right after operations and stuff and super super strong. so he told herto stop taking that. andnow she has a bunch of new medicines to take. so we hope her stomach willbe better soon. they don't really know why she coughed up blood but they didnt seem too worried about it when her testscame back pretty norrmal. sothen we went to the office to get her stuff reimbursed and i got my package!!! it was so exciting! and while we were there elder stohl the AP told me that im getting interviewed by Elder Wakolo when he is here for mission tour!! literally earlier that day i had said "I wonder if he'd interview missionaries cause i want an interview with a general authority" and hten like 2 hours later i found out i was! so im excited. i think it will be cool. ive been thinking of questionsi have for him or things i want to talk to him about! how many times in your life do you get an interview with a general authority? i feel like dad!! me and him are in the inner circle. i like it. only 2 sisters and 4 elders are being interviewed. so im pumped. then we left and got home at around 7 pm. and then crashed at like 9. we were so tired.
thursday-happy one year!! so crazy. exchanges! this morning me and s. nanlabi headed to hinigaran! we met up with sister adams and sister miner and started exchanges. i stayed in hinigaran with sister adams. it was super fun. she entered the mtc the transfer right before me, but she wasvisa waited 2 transfers and then hurt her shoulder so she went home for 3 months. then she got to the philippines like 5 months after me. but she is so awesome i LOVE sister adams. we're tight. and i love thier area. it reminds me of old sagay. its right on the beach and the people are awesome. they have some awesome progressing people. and their companiosnhips is great and things are just doing good over there. it was an easy exchanges which was good. we met some cool peopel though. one woman we met said she has seen missioanries for a year and has been wanting to talk to them for a whole year! and she was so excited that we were finally sharing to her. it was really cool. she just kinda told us her whole life story. her son is in prison righ tnow and she is just overwhelmed with trials and stuff. she actually was goign to commit suicide. but she saidthat she knows this is theway she is supposed to be okay again, through this message. so that was interesting. it just made me sad for her family though. she has 8 kids and they're all little too. like theres a 2 and 4 year old and up and this woman was literally planning on killing herself the other day!! i was like lady that is the most selfish thing you could do look at your kids what are they supposed to do without a mother. actually i didnt say that but i thought it. and i kinda said it in nicer words. but yeah. she already believes what we shared is true. so she'll be fine now. then we had some other good lessons. we extended like 6 baptismial dates that day. cause they have a lot of peopel that are ready they've just been holding off. so we talked about how important inviting people to be baptized is etc. and now they have a lot more people with a baptisimal date! so it was good. but refer to my group email about the series of horrifying events that occured at their house that night.
friday- we woke up and got ready for the day and then exchanged  back. we got back to la carlota at about 9. then we had our post exchanges talk and then studied and weekly planned! sister nanlabi's stomach still hurts. if it still hurts in a few days we may go back and do a follow up appointment. and then we went ot work! it was kind of a weird day of work. we got punted a lot which usually doesn't happen. but we taught some really good lessons too. we're teaching this one family and they all do scriptuer study together every night! and the mom and dad share their insights fromthe book of mormon and compare what they understood with each other. its so awesome. we're praying to find a way for them to get to church. cause the mom is super pregnant and they watch over the dad's dying father and someone always has to be home with him cause he is completely bed riddne adn has siezures and them two are th eonly people who know how to help him. so we're kinda stumped about how to get them to church. but we're praying.
Saturday- woo yayay saturday! what a crazy day. It was a good one. we had lots of good lessons. and we started fasting! i always drink like a gallon of water before fasting so i dont die.
