start of departure info
Dear Sister Johnson,
Because your departure is approaching, I have a few questions for you and need your answers within the next week. Make sure to communicate with your parents so that you are able to answer accurately. If you have questions, please text or call me.
I need:
-Your full name as it appears on your passport. Currently, I have "Sarah Jane Johnson" as your official name on file and it will be the name used to order your ticket. If this is not how your name appears on your passport, you need to contact me immediately.
-Do you have a valid photo ID (i.e. Driver's License, etc. that is not expired) besides your passport you could use to get to Manila?
-What airport will you fly home to?
-Is a parent coming to the Philippines and picking you up from the mission field?
In general, you will fly to Manila on your release date (04 Dec 2019) and will then collect your bags and be driven to the hotel. You will receive your passport and visas from the van driver and will then stay overnight. In the morning you will be picked up and taken to the airport for your international flights. Temple trips to the Manila Temple are not possible, unless you have a companion to travel with and are fully aware that the transportation back to the hotel is at your own expense. Your week of travel will be explained to you more thoroughly as you approach your departure date.
Also, you will need to acquire new emigration photos. These photos should be taken by a professional, be 2”X2”, and without glasses. Please note: 2 X 2" photos - these are NOT regular passport size! Please take these as soon as possible. You will also need to come to the office to sign immigration paperwork for your exit visas. The sooner the better, Thank you!
I NEED THESE PICTURES AND YOUR PAPERS SIGNED BEFORE NEXT TRANSFER.
Also, you will not need to receive x-rays for tuberculosis like the Filipinos. Instead, you will need to get a skin test when you get home from your local doctor's office.
Your itineraries will be sent to you as soon as I receive them. If anything changes in your travel plans, please contact me immediately.
You have been great missionaries. Please stick to your missions and work hard to find those who are waiting for the Gospel. These last months could make a difference in so many lives. Open your mouth to these wonderful people and give them a chance to find the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
