September 9, 2019 Kabankalan Second

hello friends!!

wow yes its transfer day!! and I was transferred!! i was so sad to leave Kabankalan ward 1! I've only been there 6 weeks but I've loved the cute people I met there. But good news, i only transferred bedrooms into kabankalan ward 2 hahaha. so ill still get to see all the people I love every sunday at church!

I am a little nervous and way excited for this upcoming transfer. I am whitewashing their area and get to train a new missionary at the same time! So the 2 sisters that were in their area both left and I replaced them! My companion will get here on thursday. so everyone send some prayers that sister johnson will be able to make her way around that area cause i have no idea where im going or who anybody is hahaha. but i totally trust that God's gonna take care of it.

this was a way good week though. we saw lots of miracles!!
-i ate a SNAKE this week. they told me that there are tons of snakes who come and eat their chickens, so they just catch them and cook them! and we just happened to be there at the perfect time where they had just caught one hahah. oh man. only in the philippines
-went to bacolod on tuesday and wednesday! we had our missionary leadership council! It was so fun and i learned tonns. All about how to help people stay converted to the gospel throughout their whole lives. i got interviewed by our mission president and got the transfer scoop hahah. hes the best.

and the happiest, Jay-R Vaflor was baptized this week!! We are so excited for him. His dad, Amado, was baptized years and years ago, but hasn't entered the church once in the past 10 years! And he came to the baptism of his son!! and from the second we started singing the opening song until the end of the closing song, he just cried and cried. And he told us after that he is gonna try and do what he can to get his life in order again and bring the rest of his family to the church. It was such a special moment for them. I know that God wants so bad to just pour out his love to us always. When Elder Renlund of the quorum of the 12 Apostles came to visit our mission, he explained to us that if we aren't feeling God's love, it is not a problem with God's love. It is a problem with our love receptors. God's love is ALWAYS there for us. Its just us who move away from Him. I totally saw that with Tay Amado. We are so excited for him and his cute little family. I love the Vaflor fam

Life is good! im way excited to go pick up my new companion on thursday and help her absolutely love her mission.

miss you all!!
